A customer in Toccoa, GA complains of no ice with her WRF993FIFM00 “Bertha” refrigerator.
I go out, and find everything else in good order. Both compartments maintain correct temperatures, exhibits no air leaks (i.e. no ice peaking out), doors sealing closed, and fans circulating air.
I enter test mode, and discover the ice maker malfunction. According to its compartment thermistor, the door ice maker sits in correct temperature (5F). BUT, because of a defective harvest thermistor (the one that tells the CCU, “I’m ready!”), no ice harvests.
The customer must wait on a special-order ice maker, because of the newness of this model and frequency of this failure.
